Moon Child Book Tag

This tag was originally created by Rhiannon from Crescent Moon Reads! I absolutely love her BookTube channel, and I recommend you all go and check it out! I will link the original video here!

I wasn’t tagged by anyone, but I love the moon and I love Rhiannon’s channel and this tag that she created. So, lets get into it!

Full Moon: a book that has supernatural creatures

I don’t know if fae count as supernatural creatures, but I chose A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I actually really loved this book, especially in comparison to the first book, A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Starry Night: a book that has a beautiful starry cover

The book that I chose doesn’t really have a starry cover entirely. It’s more subtle and the starry part is at the top, but I really love the cover so I’m going with it. The book is Hild by Nicola Griffith. It’s a historical fiction novel and I’ve only read about half of it, but I really enjoyed it and I wish that I hadn’t put it down. (I need to get back to it eventually.)

Out of This World: your favorite sci-fi book

The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld is a book that I first read in middle school. I don’t read sci-fi, it’s not a genre that I typically pick up and enjoy, but I loved this series when I read it. I need to reread it soon because I kind of don’t remember any of it.

Creature of the Night: thriller with a killer

I sort of cheated with this one. I picked The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. This isn’t a typical thriller novel, but it does have some thrillery aspects and there is a killer. I loved this book, so I just like to bring it up any chance I get.

The Moon Controls the Tides: a book that deals with water in any way

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is obviously the book/series that I need to mention! It’s one of my favorites (of all time) and there’s lots (and lots) of water involved.

Daughters of the Moon: a book that features some serious girl power and friendships

For this, I chose Maximum Ride by James Patterson. The flock. That’s all I’m going to say about it. The flock is one of my favorite found-families and I need more people to read this series. Because of the flock.

Spaceship: your OTP

My actual OTP is Percabeth, but to avoid being too repetitive, I’ll use a different couple. My favorite classic is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and I love Lizzy and Darcy together.

Waxes and Wanes: a book that played with your emotions

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi caused me to feel so many different emotions. It is an emotional roller coaster and I was dead by the end of it. But I still loved it. Because its just so good.

Music of the Night: a book that has to do with music

I don’t think I have ever read a book that focuses on music, so I decided to choose a book that had to do with art. The book I chose was An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson. The main character is a painter and the book revolves around her portraits, and one that causes her a lot of trouble.

After Hours: a book that has the word ‘night’ in the title

I haven’t read this book, but Nevernight by Jay Kristoff is what I picked for this. Since I haven’t read it, I can’t really tell you anything about it.

Crescent Moon: a book that features a goddess or goddesses

I just got to go with (basically all of) Rick Riordan’s books. His books have all been longtime favorites of mine and I love them. All of his books are based on different mythologies, so of course they have goddesses.

I loved this tag! I definitely think you should all go and check out Rhiannon’s channel! Her videos are wonderful and she is such a lovely person.

If you would like to do this tag, please consider yourself tagged by me! I’d love to see more people doing this tag!

Happy Reading!

Love, Lece
