Crunching Leaves: The world is full of color. Choose a book that has reds, oranges, and yellows on the cover!
For this, I choose Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo. I have the newer editions and the cover has varying oranges and reds. Plus, with the dark gray lettering on the spine, it has a dark fall vibe and I love it!
Cozy Sweater: It is finally cool enough to don warm, cozy clothing. What book gives you the warm fuzzies?
I got the most warm fuzzies from two books this year! They are both written by the same author and they are Simon vs the Homo sapiens Agenda and The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I loved Simon vs and I got all the warm and fuzzy feelings from it, but I related to Molly a lot more while reading The Upside and that’s why it’s a tie! I definitely recommend you read BOTH, if you still haven’t!
Fall Storm: The wind is howling and the rain is pounding. Choose your favorite book or genre that you like to read on a stormy day!
I love to read fantasy novels on rainy days! I love reading big books on stormy days, and most fantasy novels are pretty big. There’s something about the rain that makes for a perfect reading day. You can stay in and cuddle up with a big ol’ book.
Cool, Crisp Air: What is the coolest character you would like to trade places with?
Lucy. Definitely, Lucy. I love Lucy Pevensie so much! She is so sweet, and she is such a strong and brave character. Plus, she gets to be in Narnia and ride on Aslan’s back!
Hot Apple Cider: What under-hyped book do you want to see the next biggest, hottest thing?
Does Percy Jackson count? I mean, I know that it’s not exactly under-hyped, but it deserves so much more love than it gets! I need more people to be in love with Percy (and Annabeth, and literally everyone in the series) the way I am!!
Coat, Scarves, and Mittens: The weather has turned cold and it’s time to cover up. What is the most embarrassing book cover you own that you’d like to keep hidden in public?
I don’t have any books with embarrassing covers. I don’t buy books just based on the covers. But if I don’t like a certain cover, then I’ll look for an edition that I do like. Because of this, I don’t tend to have books with covers that I’m embarrassed by or that I want to hide.
Pumpkin Spice: What is your favorite fall time comfort food?
I love drinking my mom’s hot apple cider! I know that’s not a food, but I don’t have a specific food that I only eat during the fall. And my mom only makes it in the fall! Which I think makes it special, but also I kind of want to drink it more often?
Warm, Cozy Bonfire: Spread the cozy warmth! Who do you tag?
If you’re a fall-lover like me, then you’re tagged!!
